About Position:

Directors of Software Engineering (AWS) play a pivotal role in driving cloud-based innovation and technological leadership within an organization. They oversee the design, development, and delivery of AWS-powered solutions, ensuring projects align with strategic goals and meet performance, security, and scalability standards. This role combines technical oversight, team leadership, and collaboration across departments to achieve operational excellence in cloud engineering.

What You'll Do:

• Define and implement AWS cloud strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and manage multiple software engineering teams focused on AWS solutions.
• Oversee architecture design and deployment of secure, scalable AWS environments.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and stakeholders for successful releases.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud security, DevOps, and automation.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and project prioritization for cloud initiatives.
• Mentor and develop team members, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Shape the company's AWS technical strategy and innovation roadmap.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and influence business decisions.
• Oversee engineering performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Drive adoption of emerging AWS technologies and optimize cost efficiency.
• Develop and refine cloud engineering processes for better efficiency.
• Lead recruitment efforts for high-performing AWS engineering teams.
• Set clear goals and metrics for cloud projects and DevOps pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Strong experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven leadership in managing large-scale software engineering teams.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred
