Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra Experience Required: 10+ years (including 5–7 years managing utility-scale solar PV projects) Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Power Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Head – Solar PV to lead and manage the execution of utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects across multiple locations. The candidate will be based out of Nagpur and will be responsible for the end-to-end management of project activities from planning to commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and cost control. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Oversee project development from pre-construction to commissioning. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and execution schedules. Coordinate with cross-functional teams – engineering, procurement, construction, and quality – for timely execution. Site Supervision & Management: Supervise project site teams to ensure alignment with safety, quality, and performance goals. Conduct periodic site visits to monitor progress, identify delays, and resolve issues. Vendor & Contractor Management: Evaluate and manage contractors, subcontractors, and third-party agencies. Ensure adherence to contracts, budgets, and quality expectations. Liaison & Coordination: Interact with clients, consultants, government authorities, and local agencies as needed. Ensure timely approvals, permits, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports to senior management. Maintain documentation for all technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of the project. Key Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of utility-scale solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, SCADA, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical work and HT systems. Strong understanding of project management tools, budgeting, and scheduling (MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines (CEA, MNRE, DISCOMs, etc.). Proven ability to manage multiple sites and large teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualities: PMP Certification or similar project management credentials (preferred but not mandatory). Experience in both EPC and O&M phases of solar PV projects. Knowledge of power evacuation and grid-interconnection processes. Compensation: Commensurate with industry standards and candidate’s experience.
