Solar PV Design Engineer

(3 5 yrs experience • Hyderabad-based with local travel)

1. Feasibility & Site Surveys

o Visit rooftops across Hyderabad & Telangana, capture shade videos, structural data and load profiles.

o Deliver concise assessment reports with capacity, yield and pay-back estimates.

2. System Design & Engineering

AutoCAD / SketchUp

PVsyst / HelioScope

o Optimise designs for on-grid, off-grid and hybrid (battery) solutions.

3. Pre-Sales & Proposal Support

o Convert survey data into techno-commercial proposals and ROI sheets.

o Join client calls to explain design choices, pay-back maths and compliance.

4. Project Execution & Quality

o Issue construction drawings, kick-off toolbox talks, supervise subcontractors.

o Conduct quality inspections, string tests, IV-curve and PR verification at commissioning.

o Compile as-built drawings, O&M manuals and hand-over packs.

5. O&M & Troubleshooting

o Diagnose performance alarms, recommend corrective actions, guide on-site crews.

o Refine preventive-maintenance check-lists and spare-parts strategy.

6. Process Improvement

o Help formalise design and QC SOPs as we scale from tens to hundreds of kilowatts per month.

Must-Have Skills & Tools

· 3 – 5 yrs hands-on experience designing & executing rooftop PV (50 kW – 1 MW).

PVsyst

· Strong grasp of switchgear, protection schemes and Indian/IEC standards.

· Able to size inverters, cables, SPD, earthing and lightning systems.

· Confident presenting ROI and technical decisions to owners & CFOs.

· Willing to travel across Hyderabad & neighbouring districts (~30 % time).

· Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable-Energy Engineering.
