Solar PV Design Engineer

As a Solar PV Design Engineer, your role involves creating detailed layouts and designs for solar photovoltaic systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. You will be responsible for performing site assessments, analyzing solar energy potential, and collaborating with project teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions. Key responsibilities: - Utilize custom software tools to design PV ground-mounted and rooftop systems. - Conduct accurate system sizing calculations. - Generate electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (CAD)/PVsyst software. - Run PVsyst reports for system production estimates. - Develop optimal designs including SLD, PML, conduit and wire scheduling, routing, equipment plans, and conceptual 3-D renderings. - Ensure designs adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements. - Create detailed bills of materials based on system specifications. - Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, project management, and installation teams to meet client needs and internal deadlines. - Troubleshoot design and construction issues in the field. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy industry. - Knowledge of solar energy systems and their components. - Familiarity with construction sites, safety regulations, and quality control standards. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently as well as in a team.,
