The PV Design Engineer will analyze site-specific data and take lead in creating residential project plan sets. PV Design Engineer will communicate with operation team members and managers to identify all necessary details of a project’s plan set effectively and in a professional manner. Responsibilities Design residential and ESS (Energy Storage systems) to EnergyScape Renewables guidelines Review and/or develop site assessment data for final system design, including shading, structural and electrical analysis Create, review and modify drawing sets in AutoCAD and custom software tools. Update all plan sets to “As-builts” to be shared with the customer. The mission of the Solar Permitting Specialist isto ensure permit applications and project paperwork is accurate and completed on time. This position requires an ability to think critically, collaboration with individuals and teams, and a passion for delivering high quality results. Responsibilities  Submit necessary documents to prevailing jurisdictions in a timely manner to obtain solar permits.  Review the Township SOW (sopce of work) for permit application in company files. If none exists then call the township and create the SOW.  Resolving any rejection sent by AHJ’s by using problem solving skills.  Communicate with designers and engineers.  Communicate with city plan checkers.  Resolve permitting related issues in a timely manner.  Seek refunds for cancelled jobs.  Thoroughly assemble job packs, including all necessary forms.  Pay fees related to solar and fire permits.  Track progress, continually get and document status updates.  Work on special projects, as needed.  Contacting customers when appropriate to resolve utility rejections.  Facilitate a smooth transition by ensuring all required documentation is submitted to customers for signature. Requirements  Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in work experience.  Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Salesforce CRM  1-5 years’ experience in residential solar interconnection or permitting.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain good relationships.  General administrative and clerical skill sets  Must be detail oriented and must be able to stay focused while submitting permit applications to not cause any discrepancies in information.  Must be able to communicate professionally through email and over the phone.  Fluency in English is a must.  Ability to work US working hours.
