Position Title: Solar Design Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Design Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in the solar energy field to join our engineering solar team. As a Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the planning, design, and implementation of solar power systems. Key responsibilities include solar plant designing, shadow analysis, layout designing, components selection, structure layout drawing, and BOM preparation. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD, and SketchUp software, along with excellent technical design skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize CAD, AutoCAD, and SketchUp software to develop detailed designs and layouts for solar power systems.

Perform shadow analysis to optimize solar panel placement and maximize energy production.

Design solar plant layouts, considering factors such as terrain, shading, and site conditions.

Select appropriate components for solar power systems, including inverters, ACDB/DCDB, and HT components.

Prepare structure layout drawings for mounting solar panels, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with regulations.

Develop optimal designs using single-line diagrams (SLD) and ensure compatibility with project requirements.

Prepare bill of materials (BOM) for solar power systems, including all necessary equipment and materials.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solar power systems into existing electrical infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all design activities.

Provide technical support and assistance during the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar power systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in solar PV system design and engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, and PV technology.

Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing solar power systems.

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Self-motivated with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
