Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer to join our renewable energy team. The role involves designing, planning, and optimizing solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar PV installations.
• Design solar PV systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope).
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams.
• Calculate energy yield, shading analysis, and system performance.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and grid requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, project, and installation teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in solar PV system design (rooftop and ground-mounted).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with utility-scale solar projects.
• Familiarity with solar storage and hybrid systems.
• Knowledge of GIS tools for site mapping.
• Certification in solar PV design (e.g., NABCEP, MNRE-approved training).
