We are expanding our team and looking for a detail-oriented Permitting & Interconnection Specialist who can handle documentation, utility submissions, AHJ communications, and project tracking for multiple U.S. states and counties. Job Responsibilities Permitting Process (All U.S. States & Counties): Prepare, review, and submit permit applications to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), including city, county, and state building departments. Understand and follow NEC, local building codes, fire codes, and permitting requirements for each jurisdiction. Coordinate with internal design teams to ensure drawings and documents meet local compliance requirements. Track permit status, follow up with AHJs, and resolve corrections or revision requests. Maintain permit logs, documentation records, and submission timelines. Interconnection Applications (All U.S. Utilities): Prepare and submit interconnection applications to utility companies nationwide. Coordinate with utilities for application acceptance, engineering review, and approvals. Communicate project details, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and required documents. Handle PTO (Permission to Operate) submissions and follow-ups. California-Specific Add-On Responsibilities: (Preferred but not mandatory; additional compensation for CA specialists) Manage California utility interconnections: PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, LADWP, Riverside, Anaheim, Glendale, etc. Handle NEM, NEM-ST, NEM-3, and battery storage related submissions. Process California AHJ permit submissions including LA County, LA City, San Bernardino, Orange County, and high-volume jurisdictions. Experience with SGIP (Self-Generation Incentive Program) is a strong plus.
