Software Test Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive QA Automation Engineer to take ownership of writing and automating test cases for APIs and web applications. This full-time position involves close collaboration with software developers and product owners to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• QA Automation Engineer will take ownership of writing and automating test cases for APIs and web applications. You’ll deliver well-organized test cases, code, QA reports, and bug summaries. Strong Manual testing background with distributed architecture 
• Strong understanding of the entire lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile/Scrum experience 
• Experience with test automation; at a minimum, running pre-written scripts, analyzing results, debugging, and maintaining the scripts. 
• Work with test management tools like Azure Test Plans.
• Automate high-quality tests according to the projected schedule. 
• Develop test cases and plans for current and new products. 
• Work within an agile team to deliver innovative software solutions. 
• Work with support for resolving user issues and products. 
• Working closely with software developers and Product owners,
• You will create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and cases.
• Test estimating, prioritizing, planning, coordinating testing activities, flagging test cases for automation, running test automation, and maintaining the automated test scripts.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Work closely with other team members and client-facing professional services function.
• Self-manage your workload.
• Additional responsibilities include expanding automation coverage, process improvement, and risk mitigation.

What You Will Do

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in writing, executing, and maintaining test plans and cases.
• 2+ years of experience in software QA automation using Katalon, Azure Test Plans, or similar tools.
• Experience with regression and risk-based testing and analysis.
• Ability to write test case automation and integrate it within CI/CD pipeli
• Experience working with APIs, web services, and third-party applications.
• Familiarity with Git and project management tools like Azure DevOps.
• 2+ years of experience writing intermediate-level SQL queries.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills.
