Software Quality Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of practical experience in testing both web and mobile applications, with strong skills in manual and automation testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products through thorough testing processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to understand requirements and define testing scope.
• Design, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Define and implement testing strategies including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Test Execution & Defect Management
• Execute manual and automated tests across web browsers, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues effectively.
• Automation & Tools
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• Ensure test coverage for both front-end (UI/UX) and back-end (API, Database).
• Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
• Perform performance, load, and security testing as required.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Provide feedback on user experience (UX) and usability issues.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Job Requirements

Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on both web and mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory).
• Proficiency with automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar).
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI).
• Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, k6).

Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and mobile app architecture (Android/iOS).
• Basic understanding of SQL/Database queries for test validation.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for defect reporting and documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple testing activities in parallel.
• Strong team player with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
