Work as a technical member of a team responsible for building large scale applications. You will apply your knowledge of building scalable, distributed applications and have the opportunity to work with new technologies & frameworks such as Python/Java/Javascript, ReactJS, PostgreSQL etc
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following
You will be expected to:
- Your primary focus will be to ensure projects are developed in accordance with established engineering processes, adhering to scope, schedule constraints and agile project plans
- Contribute to all phases in the software lifecycle – requirements analysis, solution design, development, and deployment
- Define and maintain high quality standards for the work undertaken and be responsible for the quality of your own and your team’s deliverables
- Communicate and and work with cross functional teams
- Work closely with Product Managers to create the product & technology roadmap
- Work closely with the management team to implement software engineering practices and uphold standards
- Improving and streamlining existing systems, requiring a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, maintainable, and future-proof code.
- Work effectively as part of a distributed team
- Participate in code reviews
Requirements
- Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:
- Specialization in development utilizing Python/Java/Javascript & PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Demonstrable ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly
- Experience on JavaScript based UI frameworks like React.Js/Angular/Vue
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, and are adept at both backend and frontend development.
- Should be proactive, collaborative, and ready to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Additional areas that would add value:
- Experience building LLM powered applications
- Exposure using AI Coding Assistance tools like Cursor, Co-Pilot etc
- Experience with distributed systems with specific focus on security and scalability
- Strong understanding of Design Patterns & their application in system design
- Experience with TypeScript
- Using DevOps & Infrastructure tooling such as GoCD/Jenkins, Git
- Test Driven & Behaviou Driven Development
- Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies
