Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Equiniti, you will be a key technical member of the team, contributing to the continuous improvement and innovation of software solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Minimum 4 years of software development and design experience in Java based technologies - Developing and maintaining robust software applications, web apps, and Backoffice apps - Possessing analytical, design, and documentation skills to solve challenging problems - Hands-on experience in production bug fixes - Writing software in Java and Web using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and XML - Building applications using Struts/Spring & J2EE frameworks, Web Services/RESTful services - RDBMS experience with exposure to writing Stored Procedures and SQL queries - Detecting scalability issues and performance tuning applications - Working in both Linux and Windows host environments - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies - Experience in the Shareholder sector is a plus - Utilizing tools like ADO, JIRA, Visio, and MS Office tools for documentation and work tracking purposes In addition to technical responsibilities, you will also be accountable for: - Software design, development, testing, automation, and maintenance of applications - Collaborating with cross-functional teams in project breakdowns and technical delivery schedules - Creating documentation, test scripts, and providing support for deployment to the Production environment - Supporting business as usual activities and resolving production defects/problems - Monitoring application availability and performance - Identifying and implementing new technologies & tools for system improvement - Working US hours Professional Skills And Qualities required for this role include proficiency in: - Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and XML - Struts/Spring & J2EE frameworks, Web Services/RESTful services - ServiceNow, GitLab, and Monitoring tools - Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, build pipelines - SQL, PL/SQL - ADO, JIRA, Eclipse/STS, and MS Office Domain Knowledge in Shareholder sector is welcomed.
