Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should be skilled in data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design, with the ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and publish interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
Build and optimize data models (Star/Snowflake schema, calculated tables, DAX measures).
Work with multiple data sources including SQL Server, Azure, AWS (Redshift, Athena, S3),Excel, APIs, and cloud services.
Implement row-level security (RLS), scheduled refreshes, and workspace management in Power BI Service.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Ensure data accuracy, governance, and performance optimization of reports and queries.
Support integration with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or other ETL/data platforms (if required).
Stay up to date with latest Power BI and Microsoft Fabric features to improve reporting capabilities.

Skills Required

Mandatory Skills Required:

Strong expertise in SQL (queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service (reports, dashboards, apps).
Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for building complex measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
Proficiency in Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake schema, relationships, optimized semantic models).
Strong communication skills to interface with technical and business stakeholders.

Secondary Skills Required

Experience with Azure Data Services such as Data Factory (ADF), Data Lake, and Databricks.
Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and emerging BI/analytics tools.
Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and orchestration tools.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (S3, Redshift, BigQuery) is a plus.
Exposure to machine learning models integration with Power BI.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
6–9 years of proven hands-on experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
Strong background in SQL, data modeling, and business intelligence concepts.
Experience working with large datasets, data integration, and performance tuning.
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) or equivalent certification (good to have)
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
