Description & Requirements

The Software Engineer designs and develops advanced AI features for Infor’s GenAI Platform. The role focuses on scalable Python development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, LLM integration, and AI evaluation. This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into production-grade GenAI capabilities.

Essential Duties

Design and implement advanced Python-based features for GenAI applications.
Build and optimize RAG pipelines, retrieval logic, and practical LLM integrations.
Develop robust AI-powered components including conversational agents, document generation modules, and intelligent search systems.
Implement prompt engineering strategies and iterative improvement methods.
Contribute to automated evaluation, quality testing, and monitoring of GenAI features.
Optimize performance, cost, and latency of LLM workflows.
Integrate the platform with cloud AI services, APIs, and enterprise systems.
Collaborate with analysts and cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
Write well-structured, maintainable code and perform peer reviews.
Participate in architectural discussions and suggest improvements.
Support deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring in cloud environments.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or AI.
3–5 years of professional Python development experience.
Practical exposure to LLM APIs or GenAI frameworks.
Strong understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, and semantic search.
Experience with cloud-native development and API integration.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms.
Proficiency with LangChain, LangGraph, or multi-agent orchestration.
Exposure to prompt optimization, caching strategies, and evaluation techniques.
Experience with vector databases and hybrid search.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
Experience mentoring junior engineers.
