Role Overview

This role focuses on developing scalable web-based automation and workflow solutions. The Software Development Engineer will contribute to both frontend and backend development, working across core platform features, integrations, and automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

Design, develop, test, and deploy production-ready features for a web automation platform.
Build responsive UI components, dashboards, and workflow interfaces using React or Next.js.

Backend Engineering

Develop and maintain APIs and automation processes using Node.js / Express.
Model, query, and optimize databases in PostgreSQL (SQL) and MongoDB (NoSQL).
Implement automation workflows using schedulers, webhooks, and background jobs.

Systems & Integrations

Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Gmail, Slack, Outlook) and automation services.
Work with AI models and automation agents when required.

Quality & Collaboration

Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Follow modern practices in testing, documentation, CI/CD, and secure deployment.

Required Skills

Frontend:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with React or Next.js.

Backend:

Node.js, Express, and REST API development.

Databases:

PostgreSQL (SQL) and MongoDB (NoSQL).

Development Practices:

Git-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
Knowledge of API testing using Postman.
Understanding of state management libraries (Zustand, Redux, or Context API).

Additional Technical Exposure (Preferred):

Docker and basic CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
Prisma or Mongoose ORM.
OAuth2 and external API authentication workflows.
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Langflow).
Basic Python scripting for data or AI workflows.
