Job Summary:
The Software Engineer contributes to design, development and deployment of Tools and application for Solar Turbine. This position requires experience applying C#.Net, Entity framework and database knowledge.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with a team of developers and designers to create a HMI web or desktop application
  • Create reusable, effective, and scalable C#, Javascript code
  • Design the data and presentation layer of the web application’s front-end
  • Review code and coach team to ensure required coding standards are maintained.
  • Apply and integrate technologies such as C#, Web Services to conceptualize, design, and develop and unit test web-based (or) desktop applications.
  • Use additional JavaScript libraries such as dojo to manage the web application’s state, derive computed data from the state of the system, and make asynchronous API call.
  • Translate the client’s technical requirements into code.
  • Test and update web applications so that they can be used on all web browsers
  • Work with the Leads to create product plans, resource and scope estimates and feature technical specifications

BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of professional experience in C#, Web application – JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience developing applications with Agile team methodologies preferred.
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Proficient in using Git as a control system

Required Skills

  • Strong Experience in C#, Web application – Javascript, JQuery

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Documents the standard processes and procedures involved in system testing.
  • Explains the importance of thorough system testing prior to implementation.
  • Identifies common errors that occur in standard system testing activities.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Discovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware, software or application problems.
  • Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities.
  • Handles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards.
  • Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.
  • Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used.
