Job Description Job Description: Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is a comprehensive analytics platform that provides a wide range of analytic and reporting capabilities. It offers advanced and innovative features in core analytics, ensuring enterprise-class performance, security, scalability, and manageability. Working on cloud technologies, the development team focuses on applications and frameworks to model and manage the common semantic metadata model for analytics, which is central to its ability to query from federated sources. The product delivers unified functionality for managing and administering all metadata, including sources, calculations, and permissions, to enable enterprises to achieve a single source of truth for all their analytic requirements. The ideal candidate should be someone with strong passion, deep knowledge, and extensive experience in product development, particularly in building highly scalable software products for cloud deployments. Past exposure to analytics products is a preferred qualification. The responsibilities of the role include designing and developing features for the Analytic Server, creating microservices, and integrating with other components. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-performance solutions, and staying updated on industry trends. Responsibilities Include: Applying deep expertise in software architecture and user experience to design and develop high-performance applications and services. Contributing to product development through strong technical skills and the ability to independently drive features to completion. Collaborating closely with internal product development and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Integration Engineering, Security, UX, and Technical Writers) to define and deliver quality software features. Participating in architecture reviews, design discussions, prototyping, and development of key OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud) features. Working with remote and geographically distributed teams to develop modular, extensible solutions that integrate well with other services and platforms. Taking full ownership of complex components and delivering production-grade code with minimal supervision. Contributing to the development of server and metadata features within the OAC platform. Designing and implementing distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems. Engaging in the full software development lifecycle including development, testing, CI/CD, and supporting production operations. Interfacing with senior developers and architects to align implementation with broader architectural goals. Job Requirements: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline. 10+ years of experience developing scalable and distributed enterprise systems across a wide array of enterprise technologies. Strong programming expertise in C++, Java/J2EE, XML, Web services (REST/SOAP), and experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and database technologies. Proven experience with cloud-based product engineering. Strong object-oriented programming and design fundamentals. Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality solutions. Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Passion for continuous learning and working with emerging technologies. Responsibilities As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
