Social Media & SEO Specialist

In this dual-focused role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive engagement across our social channels while simultaneously optimizing our content to rank higher in search engine results. What You'll Do:

Social Media Management:

• Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube).
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (text, image, video) that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement, and customer service opportunities, responding to comments and messages promptly.
• Analyze social media data to identify trends, measure campaign performance, and generate actionable insights.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

• Conduct keyword research to identify high-volume, relevant keywords for content creation and optimization.
• Perform on-page SEO optimization (meta descriptions, title tags, headings, image alt text) for website content and blog posts.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure all new content is SEO-friendly and optimized for target keywords.
• Monitor website performance using SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about algorithm updates and SEO best practices to ensure our strategies remain effective.

Content & Strategy:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media and SEO efforts with overall marketing campaigns.
• Develop content calendars that integrate both social media posts and SEO-optimized blog topics.
• Identify opportunities for cross-promotion between social media and our website/blog.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience (2+ years) in managing social media accounts for a business or brand.
• Demonstrable experience with SEO best practices and a solid understanding of search engine ranking factors.
• Proficiency with social media management platforms and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to create engaging and persuasive content for different platforms and audiences.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A portfolio demonstrating successful social media campaigns and/or SEO improvements is a plus!

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with paid social media advertising.
• Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
