Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Handler to manage the online presence of two businesses:

  • Bright Learning Centre (UK-based training & tuition provider)
  • Boutique Business (Customised Indian Outfits, India & UK based)

This role is focused on daily content creation, monthly content calendar creation, posting, and community engagement. You will work under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Executive, who manages overall strategy, SEO, ads, and website performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain our social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media channels as and when required.
  • Create daily content (posts, reels, videos, stories, graphics) using Canva/Adobe.
  • Write captions, blogs, and newsletters to support campaigns.
  • Schedule posts across platforms and maintain a posting calendar.
  • Respond to messages, comments, and enquiries on social channels.
  • Join and actively engage in relevant Facebook Groups to build community presence, share valuable content, answer queries, and drive organic leads while following group rules.
  • Assist in email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp).
  • Track and report weekly on social media growth and engagement.
  • Ensure brand consistency across both businesses.
  • identify and engage with micro-influencers or community pages relevant to education and fashion to grow reach.
  • create content for WhatsApp broadcasts or catalogues for leads/customers.
  • Support other marketing activities as and when required – including basic content writing, assisting in email campaigns, creating simple graphics, and helping the team with ad promotions.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Executive to align content with campaigns, ads, and seasonal promotions.
  • Stay updated with latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and competitor activities, and suggest new ideas for growth.

Skills Required:

  • Creativity and design skills (Canva/Adobe).
  • Strong written and spoken Englishskills
  • Experience in social media management (Instagram, Facebook etc).
  • Basic video editing (for reels and shorts).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills and ability to engage online audiences.
  • Organised and able to manage a daily posting schedule.
  • Ability to analyse social media insights/analytics and make recommendations.
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite).
  • Understanding of hashtags, SEO for social media, and keyword use.
  • Photography / product styling skills (helpful for boutique business content).
  • Experience in customer journey nurturing (turning enquiries into paying customers through follow-up messages).
