Role Description

Social Media Manager


Location:

On-Site— Chandigarh (India)


Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning:

    Develop and implement monthly and quarterly social media content calendars for all channels aligned with HKL’s mission and campaigns. Develop creative ways to convey HKL’s message of self-transformation across online platforms.
  • Content Curation & Posting:

    Oversee the creation, scheduling, and publishing of all content (videos, graphics, posts, stories, shorts) to ensure consistency and brand alignment across platforms.
  • Community Management:

    Actively monitor, respond to, and engage with the online community in a manner that exemplifies the Foundation’s virtues (kindness, empathy, and respect).
  • Platform Optimization:

    Tailor content and strategy for optimal performance on each platform (e.g., short-form video focus for Instagram/YouTube, professional/impact stories for LinkedIn). Identify trends and opportunities to amplify HKL’s voice.
  • Analytics & Reporting:

    Track, analyze, and report on key social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion) to inform future strategy and demonstrate ROI.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with the

    Content Writer

    ,

    Graphic Designer

    , and

    Video Editor

    to ensure a steady supply of high-quality, mission-aligned content.


Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of current and evolving features/algorithms of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Strong understanding of each platform’s tools and best practices.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep passion for spreading positive, uplifting messages and a willingness to serve with humility.
