Senior Process Improvement Engineer with Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Position Summary

Senior Process Improvement Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end process improvement projects in insurance claim processing, using Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, identify inefficiencies, and design innovative solutions to streamline claims operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (claims, underwriting, customer service, IT, compliance) to implement sustainable process enhancements.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure improvements in accuracy, turnaround time, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure claims processes align with regulatory compliance and company quality standards.
  • Facilitate workshops, kaizen events, and training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and coach Green Belts and process improvement analysts to build organizational capability.
  • Prepare and present project updates, dashboards, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Leverage automation and digital transformation opportunities in claims processing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification

    (required).
  • 8–12 years of experience in process improvement, with at least 5 years in insurance claim processing or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and change management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver measurable business results.
  • Experience with process modeling tools, data analysis, and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Power BI, Excel).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims systems and regulatory requirements.
