Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps) for Java microservices.
Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform or Pulumi on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Containerize applications using Docker, deploy and manage them on Kubernetes using Helm.
Collaborate with development teams to deploy Java-based microservices (Java 8/17+, Spring Boot, Kafka).
Write infrastructure automation scripts using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or TypeScript.
Configure and monitor system health using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks.
Ensure security, scalability, and performance in all deployment strategies.
Mentor junior DevOps engineers and participate in Agile development practices.

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of professional DevOps experience.
Minimum 3+ years with:

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Strong Linux CLI skills and system-level troubleshooting capabilities.
Hands-on experience with Java (8 or 17+), Spring Boot, Kafka, and Microservices.
Strong scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or TypeScript.
Experience in mentoring or leading junior team members.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with observability and monitoring best practices.
Prior experience with secure DevOps and cloud compliance.
Experience working with distributed teams and Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong verbal/written communication and documentation skills.
Consulting mindset with ability to work in client-facing roles.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
