Site Civil Engineer

Job Responsibilities1. Project Planning & DesignInterpret architectural and structural drawings. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation. Collaborate with architects, consultants, and clients on technical specifications. Prepare or review BOQs, structural drawings, and site plans. 2. Site Supervision & ExecutionOversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure quality and progress. Monitor site works including excavation, foundation, RCC, brickwork, plastering, etc. Ensure that work is executed as per design, safety standards, and quality norms. Coordinate with subcontractors, labor, and vendors for smooth execution. 3. Quality Control & AssuranceConduct material inspections and ensure quality compliance (e.g., concrete tests, cube testing). Ensure adherence to construction standards (e.g., IS codes). Maintain daily quality checklists and rectify defects. 4. Measurement & BillingMaintain daily progress records and measurement sheets. Verify subcontractor work and prepare interim and final bills (RA bills). Support in client billing and documentation. 5. Project CoordinationCoordinate between clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors. Attend site meetings and provide technical updates or resolutions. Maintain site reports, work schedules, and progress tracking. 6. Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety protocols on-site (PPE, signage, barricading, etc.). Ensure compliance with local construction laws, municipal regulations, and environmental norms. 7. Post-Construction SupportConduct final inspections and assist in handover documentation. Coordinate with clients during the defect liability period for repairs/rectifications. Optional/Advanced Roles (Depending on Experience)Preparing tender documents and technical bid analysis. Value engineering and cost optimization. Handling AutoCAD/Revit or construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Preparing DPR (Daily Progress Report) and MIS (Management Information System) reports.
