Showroom Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service, with experience in both inside and outside sales. This role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that enhance their experience. The Sales Associate will play a crucial role in driving sales growth while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on features and benefits.
• Utilize tools such as SketchUp and CAD for layout design and renovation planning.
• Negotiate terms of sale while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities.
• Manage account relationships, ensuring ongoing communication and support.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in interior design, lighting design, and construction to provide informed advice.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining an organized sales floor.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall store performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail sales or high-end sales environments is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers; multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Familiarity with renovation, remodeling, or construction processes is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using design software such as SketchUp or CAD is desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on upselling techniques.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain store presentation standards.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales transactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
