D2C E-commerce Focus

Roughly 80 % of your day-to-day work will revolve around building, customising, and optimising direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce websites on Shopify. The remaining 20 % will cover sites on WordPress.

What You’ll Own

• End-to-end Shopify builds for D2C brands

  – customise Online Store 2.0 themes with Liquid, JS/ES6, JSON, SCSS, and Shopify CLI.
• Plugin / app decisions & tweaks – select, configure, or lightly code Shopify apps and WordPress plugins to meet each client’s unique D2C requirements (payments, subscriptions, fulfilment, etc.).
• Pixel-perfect WordPress sites – child themes, ACF, CPTs, hooks & filters for non-commerce projects.
• Site performance & CRO – improve Core Web Vitals, implement schema/SEO basics, A/B tests, and analytics for continuous conversion lifts.
• Smooth integrations – CRM, marketing automation, shipping/ERP APIs, payment gateways, BNPL, loyalty.
• Ongoing care – post-launch maintenance, security patches, rapid troubleshooting.
• Cross-functional collaboration – turn designer mock-ups into performant code; scope tasks, document cleanly, and field client questions.

You are the single point of contact for all development work.

Must-Have Skills

• 2–5 years developing production Shopify storefronts (Dawn-based themes, Liquid sections/blocks).

• Proven experience shipping or scaling D2C e-commerce sites.

• WordPress theme & plugin customisation (PHP basics, ACF, Woo experience a plus).
• Front-end fundamentals: semantic HTML5, modern CSS (Flexbox/Grid), responsive vanilla JS.
• Git version control and basic CLI workflows.
• Clear written & spoken English; able to explain trade-offs to non-tech teammates.

Nice-to-Haves

• Multi-store localisation, subscriptions, or loyalty experience.

• Marketing input on how to increase conversions for clients ecommerce websites
