The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of food products, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, as well as food processing technology and various cutting models and machines. Prior experience in food procurement or related industries is advantageous. Your responsibilities will include handling the procurement of food supplies such as vegetables, meat, and other related items. You will need to understand and manage the technical specifications of food cutting models, source and evaluate vendors based on quality and other criteria, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with suppliers. Ensuring that quality and hygiene standards are met in all procured food items is crucial. Additionally, you will be expected to stay updated on market trends, food technologies, and new product innovations, and collaborate with internal teams to fulfill supply requirements. Maintaining procurement reports, order records, and inventory data will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Hotel Management, Agriculture, or a related field. Diploma holders with substantial experience are also encouraged to apply. A minimum of 1 year of experience in food procurement or the food processing/supply chain industry is required. Familiarity with food cutting models, tools, and machines, as well as a good understanding of food safety, quality, and handling practices are essential. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills are desired, along with proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/tools.
