Shift Manager

Role Overview:

The Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the café during assigned shifts. This role requires leadership, customer service excellence, team management, and maintaining Coffee Culture’s brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee café operations during the shift, ensuring smooth workflow and service quality.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate team members (baristas, service staff, and kitchen staff).
• Ensure adherence to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards across the café.
• Manage cash handling, billing, and daily shift reconciliations.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure excellent guest experience.
• Monitor inventory levels during the shift and coordinate with the Store Manager for requirements.
• Train new staff on Coffee Culture Reserve service standards, SOPs, and product knowledge.
• Assist in implementing promotional activities and upselling strategies.
• Ensure staff grooming, punctuality, and discipline are maintained.
• Prepare end-of-shift reports and handover to the next shift/management.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Hospitality / Business Management preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in café/restaurant/hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
