Service Delivery Manager, Data platforms

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join Valmet s Data Platforms Team as a Service Delivery Manager . In this role , you will serve as the delivery lead within Valmet s Data Platforms domain, overseeing and managing the day -to- day operations of the local delivery team while supporting global data and analytics initiatives .

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of proven leadership experience , combined with deep expertise in data platforms , data m odelling , and data architecture principles ( including data lakes , data warehouses , metadata, and governance ). You should have hands-on experience in designing , building , and maintaining scalable , reliable data pipelines for collecting , transforming , and loading (ETL) data from diverse sources into storage systems . Additionally , you will leverage your expertise to help the delivery team optimize pipelines for performance , scalability , and cost efficiency .

Areas of R esponsibility

• Team Leadership - Managing local delivery team and fostering collaboration.

• Help and support delivery team in daily tasks

• Oversee local execution of development and services

• Ensure architectural guidelines and quality in delivery projects

• AMS management and coordination for Data Platform services

• Ensure IT services are delivered effectively and meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Oversee resolution of major incidents and recurring issues .

• Coordinate root cause analysis and implement ation of long- term fixes .

• Identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery.

• Implement best practices (e.g., ITIL framework) and optimize processes.

• Ensure financial plans

• Bachelor s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field .

• Solid understanding of data and analytics platforms, data m odelling , and data architecture principles (data lake, data warehouse, metadata, governance)

• Proven experience in administering and managing Microsoft Fabric or similar data and analytics platforms.

• Experience in Microsoft Azure services, including data platform related technologies.

• Strong understanding of data platform governance, security, and compliance principles, with experience implementing them in a Microsoft environment.

• Knowledge of data integration tools and techniques for ingesting and processing data from diverse sources.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively.

• Strategic mindset with a proven track record of influencing and aligning stakeholders to achieve complex goals.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with diverse teams.
