Service and Installation Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled IoT Solutions Field Support Engineer to join our team and provide technical support for our IoT solutions in the field. As an IoT Solutions Field Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment, operation, and maintenance of IoT systems at customer sites. You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to troubleshoot issues, debug hardware, and coordinate logistics to address customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support for the deployment and operation of IoT solutions at customer sites.
• Understand and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, MQTT and other IoT protocols.
• Debug hardware and software issues with IoT devices, sensors, gateways, and communication modules.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with the factory team to ensure timely delivery of hardware components and spare parts.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and field technicians on IoT system operation and troubleshooting.
• Document and report issues, resolutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Participate in field tests and pilot projects to validate new IoT solutions and technologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IoT deployment and support.
• Travel to customer sites as required to provide technical assistance and support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ ElectronicsEngineering, or Mechanical field.
• Proven experience in field support or technical customer support roles, preferably in the IoT industry.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Modbus, MQTT, and TCP/IP.
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering equipment.
• Familiarity with IoT hardware components, sensors, gateways, and communication modules.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to issue resolution.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, field technicians, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 30-50% travel expected).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
