Senior Wordpress Designer

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Designer who can Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including WordPress custom theme implementation, and plugins.

The ideal applicant will have a strong design portfolio, a profound understanding of UX/UI principles, and hands-on experience with custom themes, plugins, and page builders including Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage websites using WordPress, including paid themes and custom theme development.

2. Implement and configure well-known plugins such as:

- Editors: Elementor, DIVI, etc.

- Spam Blocking: Akismet

- Optimization: WP Rocket, Imagify, or similar

- eCommerce: WooCommerce and relevant extensions

3. Set up Shipping and Tax Integrations for eCommerce websites.

4. Maintain and troubleshoot websites, including:

- Content-specific sites

- eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce)

- Plugin updates

- Security check

- Website review

- Spam entry

- Database size

5. Proficient in other CMS like Duda, Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce

6. Manage and maintain multilingual websites using WPML or similar plugins.

7. Lead or delegate tasks within a team setting; take initiative in team leadership when required.

8. Optimize websites for Google Core Web Vitals and overall performance.

9. Engage in plugin development or customization as needed.

10. Create wireframes and mockups based on project briefs (standard turnaround time: [e.g., 1–2 days based on project size]).

11. Regularly perform site maintenance, backups, updates, and performance audits.

12. Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables using project management tools.

13. Incorporate AI tools (when applicable) for improving productivity and content generation.

14. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability to changing project requirements, and effective leadership qualities.

Key Requirements:

1. 4 or more years of experience in WordPress design and development

2. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

3. Skilled in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD.

5. In-depth understanding of UX/UI design principles

6. Experience in building and maintaining multilingual websites.

6. Experience with widely-used plugins (e.g., ACF, WooCommerce, Elementor, Divi)

7. Capable of handling multiple projects and adhering to deadlines

8. Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, UIchemy, etc., for ideation or content support (preferred but not mandatory).

9. Good communication and problem-solving skills

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
