Company: An India-based company, which is engaged in the manufacture of fiber cement sheets and calcium silicate boards. The Company's segments include building products, Textiles and power generation from windmills. The Company caters mainly to the domestic markets. Position Overview: The position calls for responsibility for Operations including Manufacturing in the Fiber Cement Sheeting and Boards plants of the company. Candidates must have at least fifteen years’ experience in independently running continuous process manufacturing units with a workforce of about 250 people, as also 3 years with managing multiple plants in varied locations. Must have worked in at least 3 different organizations to have had a varied management exposure to Organizational development and Strategy implementation. Exposure to strong systems-based management and extensive exposure to Information Technology concepts is essential. Knowledge of spoken Hindi is necessary. Description: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) to lead our organization’s operations. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of leadership experience coupled with a deep understanding of business operations, market analysis, and customer relations within the sector. As the SVP, you will be responsible for overseeing company-wide operations while developing and implementing effective business strategies and programs to drive growth and profitability. You will work closely with other senior leaders to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement, ensuring that our company remains competitive and innovative in an ever-evolving market. Your role will require the ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. The successful candidate will also focus on building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to promote the organization's interests. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve company goals and objectives. • Oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place. • Lead and mentor senior management teams to drive performance and foster professional development. • Identify market trends and opportunities for growth, guiding product development and innovation strategies. • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies. • Monitor financial performance against budget and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure profitability. • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance brand presence and increase market share. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemicals is required. • A minimum of 20+ years of experience in leadership roles within the building materials/Paper/Paint/Chemical industries. • Exposure of working in different states of the country to understand the people’s perspectives and views in various manufacturing facilities. • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and achieve substantial results in a complex environment. • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and forecasting. • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences. • Ability to navigate and influence at all levels of the organization while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Well-versed with Hindi and English languages Show more Show less
