Senior Valuation Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and deliver business valuations for privately held U.S. companies across industries
• Apply valuation techniques including

  Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Guideline Public Company (GPC), Precedent Transactions, and Asset-Based approaches

• Assist in preparing valuation reports for

  409A, gift/estate tax (706/709), ASC 820

  , and other IRS-compliant filings
• Analyze financial statements, market comparables, industry trends, and economic conditions to support valuation conclusions
• Build detailed financial models and valuation schedules in Excel
• Draft high-quality valuation reports and supporting documentation in line with

  SSVS No. 1, USPAP

  , and firm standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather required data and insights
• Review junior analysts’ work and provide mentoring as needed
• Stay updated on changes in valuation standards, tax law, and financial reporting requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, or transaction advisory (U.S. market focus)
• Solid understanding of

  IRS valuation guidelines, U.S. GAAP, and AICPA SSVS No. 1

• Strong Excel skills, including building and reviewing DCF models and comparative analysis
• Proficiency in tools like Capital IQ, PitchBook, BizEquity, or ValuSource
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):

• CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst)

• ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser)

• CPA or CFA
