Job brief:

Travel Consultant – Operations

This role is critical in ensuring smooth travel execution, supplier coordination, and exceptional client experience for long-haul and complex international itineraries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end travel operations including

    international flights, accommodations, ground transportation, visas, insurance, and documentation

    .
  • Handle

    international bookings and operations

    in line with client requirements, budgets, and company standards.
  • Coordinate directly with

    global suppliers, DMCs, airlines, hotels, and service providers

    , including long-haul destinations.
  • Negotiate rates, manage confirmations, amendments, and cancellations with suppliers.
  • Assist in creating detailed itineraries and provide

    expert destination guidance

    for international travel.
  • Ensure accurate handling of

    visa processes

    , documentation, and timelines for various countries.
  • Handle

    ticketing-related tasks

    , including fare understanding, PNR management, and coordination with airlines/GDS teams.
  • Maintain and update all booking and operational data in internal CRM systems.
  • Provide prompt issue resolution, re-bookings, and post-travel support.
  • Monitor international travel trends, advisories, and restrictions.
  • Coordinate with finance and sales teams on billing, reconciliation, and vendor payments.
  • Act as an

    on-ground operations lead

    for group tours when required, ensuring smooth daily logistics.
  • Support continuous improvement of operational processes and supplier management.


Requirements and Skills:

  • Minimum 3+ years of proven experience

    in

    International Travel Operations

    (candidates with only short-term or limited ops exposure will not be considered).
  • Strong

    destination knowledge beyond India and Southeast Asia

    , including long-haul regions such as

    Europe, Africa, Central Asia, Middle East, Australia, or the Americas

    .
  • Hands-on experience with visa processing

    for multiple international destinations.
  • Working knowledge of

    air ticketing

    , fare rules, PNR handling, and exposure to GDS systems (Amadeus preferred).
  • Direct experience coordinating with

    international suppliers and vendors

    .
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    .
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

    Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field

    .
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience handling

    HNIs or group travel operations

    will be an added advantage.
  • Driving experience is a must.
  • Schedule:

    Flexibility required based on operational demands and client travel schedules
