Senior Test Engineer

✅Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases for our software applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in improving the quality, stability, and performance of our systems by leveraging automation best practices, tools, and technologies.

✅Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, etc.

• Develop, maintain, and scale test automation frameworks to support continuous testing and integration.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and load testing using appropriate tools (e.g., J Meter, Load Runner).

• Collaborate closely with QA, development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure test coverage and quality.

• Review and analyze system specifications and user stories to derive test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Log, track, and manage bugs/defects in tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution.

• Continuously optimize and refactor test code to improve test reliability and execution speed.

• Provide test reports, metrics, and dashboards for release decisions and quality assessment.

✅ Key Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.

• Strong knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, Cypress, Rest Assured).

• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, SoapUI, Swagger.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and shift-left testing practices.

• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

✅Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–5+ years of experience in test automation engineering or software quality assurance.

• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or equivalent certification is a plus.

✅Nice-to-Have

• Experience in BDD/TDD development practices.

• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Browser Stack, Sauce Labs).

• Experience in performance testing, security testing, or DevOps practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹900,000.00 per year
