Senior Tendering Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tendering Engineer with over 10 years of experience in preparing and managing tender documentation, BOQs, and cost estimations for large-scale National Highways Infrastructure (NHI) or similar road and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, submission, and coordination of competitive bids and proposals in compliance with NHAI/MORTH guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end tendering process for highway/infrastructure projects, including RFQ, RFP, and EPC tenders.
• Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and contractual conditions issued by government authorities (e.g., NHAI, MORTH).
• Prepare BOQ, rate analysis, and detailed cost estimation (civil works, structures, utilities, etc.).
• Coordinate with planning, design, procurement, and execution teams to gather data for pricing and technical submissions.
• Identify project risks, cost implications, and suggest value engineering alternatives.
• Review and finalize technical and commercial proposals as per tender timelines.
• Maintain updated knowledge of market rates, vendor quotations, and construction practices.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, JV partners, and subcontractors for documentation and clarifications.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of tenders, and support post-tender activities like clarifications and negotiations.
• Keep track of tender notices from NHAI, MORTH, and state PWDs through official portals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in tendering/estimation with focus on highway/road/infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of NHAI/MORTH tendering norms, IRC standards, and EPC/PPP models.
• Expertise in rate analysis, cost control, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera/MSP, and ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

Preferred Candidates:

• Previous experience working with NHAI or major EPC contractors.
• Sound understanding of highway design components (embankment, pavement layers, bridges, culverts, etc.).
• Knowledge of environmental, social, and land acquisition aspects in highway projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
