Senior Technical Writer

The job

As the main technical writer for our client's flagship investment management platform, you will play a crucial role in the success of our product by creating high-quality documentation. Your

Responsibilities will include writing technical documentation, internal documentation, end-user documentation, online help, API documentation, tutorials, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting

guides, and release notes.

You’ll work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product owners, and UX designers to

Enhance product usability.

You’ll learn about the investment management domain: what it means to invest, how to invest, how

our customers invest their clients’ capital and why. You will also gain comprehensive knowledge of

our product.

You’ll work closely with a US product team to learn and understand how our clients use our

product, the challenges they face and the documentation they require. You will also work closely

with our US and India customer support teams to understand areas where our users need help.

You’ll collaborate with our marketing team, who will rely on your knowledge and input to create

product content for our marketing channels.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work directly with senior management to design our learning

architecture and enhance our documentation standards and style guides.

What you have proven experience in

 Creating high-quality documentation for complex software

 Writing technical and end-user documentation as well as online help

 Learning complex domains and software products

 Strong grasp of complex concepts and ability to simplify them for users

 Translating your knowledge into articles that teach how to effectively use software

 Collaborating with different teams and stakeholders

What you ideally also have experience in

 Investment management

 Microsoft Manual of Style or Microsoft Writing Style Guide

 Writing API documentation

 Other training media such as videos and AI driven learning

 Learning Management Systems

 Jira and Confluence
