About the Role
We are looking for a Tax & Compliance Senior Associate to join our New Delhi office and take on a pivotal role in driving our U.S. tax and compliance operations. This is a strategic opportunity for someone with Big 8 tax experience who wants to move beyond a traditional tax practice and into a dynamic, high-impact startup environment.You will play a key role in managing U.S. business tax filings, audit provisions, and regulatory compliance, while also contributing to financial analytics, reporting, and cross-functional initiatives. As part of a fast-scaling company, you’ll gain direct exposure to senior U.S. stakeholders, investors, and board-level reporting. We're ideally seeking someone who is motivated to transition from traditional tax practice into a broader, high-impact role with exposure to U.S. leadership, investors, and board reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Tax & Accounting
- Support and coordinate all U.S. business tax filings, audits, and provisions
- Work with Big 8 or equivalent auditors to manage statutory reviews and audits
- Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting in collaboration with the accounting team
- Build scalable processes for tax compliance and financial accuracy as the company grows
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Own statutory and licensure compliance, including applications, renewals, and ongoing monitoring
- Partner with legal counsel and attorneys to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements
- Track compliance changes across jurisdictions and implement risk-mitigation measures
Analytics & Strategic Support
- Build and maintain financial and operational models to support decision-making
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor KPIs and compliance health
- Use SQL, analytics, and BI tools to drive insights and improve financial visibility
- Provide inputs for investor updates, board reporting, and strategic planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams across India and the U.S.
- Contribute to high-priority projects beyond tax and compliance, spanning analytics and operations
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders on compliance and risk matters
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or compliance (Big 8 experience strongly preferred). Must have direct experience in U.S. taxation, including business tax filings and audit provisions
- CPA, ACCA, or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
- Strong familiarity with statutory compliance and business licensure requirements (experience managing these is a strong plus)
- Experience coordinating audits with Big 8 or other top-tier audit firms
- Hands-on experience with QBO, NetSuite, Rippling, Ramp, Stripe
- Exposure to SQL, analytics, or BI tools (preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive in building scalable processes
- Excellent communication skills across geographies and functions

- Based in New Delhi
- Required to be in office at least 3 days per week (hybrid model)
