We are hiring a Senior Direct Procurement Specialist (SAP MM) to join our Source to Settle (StS) team in an internal, permanent position. You will be a key functional specialist for SAP Materials Management with a primary focus on Direct Procurement across our SAP ECC / S/4HANA landscape. Working closely with the Global Supplier Management Value Team and cross‑functional stakeholders. You will design, configure, support and continuously improve our Direct Procurement solution to meet business and regulatory requirements. This is a hands‑on role combining SAP configuration, solution design, production support, testing, documentation and end‑user enablement.
You will be responsible for
- Shaping and designing the global Direct Procurement SAP solution to meet business, regulatory and sustainability requirements; translate business needs into practical SAP designs and advise on supply‑chain impacts.
- Configuring and maintaining SAP MM (Direct Procurement PRs, POs, GR, IV, supplier master, release strategies, pricing, subcontracting, etc) and implementing changes and integrations (Ariba/Concur as applicable).
- Delivering projects and enhancements end‑to‑end create functional specs, coordinate builds, testing, cutover and post‑go‑live support with internal teams and vendors.
- Providing 2nd/3rd‑line production support and root‑cause resolution while ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory and sustainability standards.
- Leading testing, training and documentation define/execute functional and integration tests, support UAT, and produce training materials, knowledge transfer guides.
- Managing stakeholders and vendors gather requirements, align expectations, and oversee vendor deliverables and timelines.
- Supporting change and release management using JIRA/SNOW (or similar), and driving continuous improvement, process optimization and master‑data governance.
Required Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related field.
- 9+ years hands‑on SAP MM; ≥7 years in ECC Procurement or S/4HANA configuration.
- Deep knowledge of Direct Procurement and end‑to‑end StS.
- Experience with functional specs, solution design, configuration guides, enhancements and full‑cycle implementations.
- Strong testing and production support skills (integration/regression testing, UAT, root‑cause analysis).
- Familiar with JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW); test‑management tools (xRay) a plus.
- Excellent English communication; able to work independently and across global teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP Ariba and/or SAP Concur.
- xRay (or equivalent) testing experience and familiarity with HP/ALM.
- Life sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience, with awareness of regulated environments, quality systems and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Agile methodology and tools.
