" As a Sr Sourcing Analyst with BMC, you are responsible for managing assigned global categories or categories suppliers and spending. You act as a subject matter expert to the business while developing and leading the global category strategy. This includes internal business partner relationships, supplier relationships, contracting, negotiations and category strategy. Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:Work with internal stakeholders to understand and source suppliers to meet requirements while addressing budget, service levels, and other total cost of ownership (TCO) factors.Negotiate supplier terms & conditions such as key business requirements (cost, price, specification, quality, logistics, legal, reliability) are fulfilled.Develop and lead global strategy with business partners.Gather and analyze spending data, as well as local, regional, and global market data to ensure competitive pricing through all phases of contract negotiations.Provide market intelligence on commodity market trends and local / global opportunities.Exercises judgment within defined policies and procedures to determine appropriate action.Develop and implement category management tools and processes to enhance spend analytics and customer service.Monitor, evaluate, and report supplier performance.Lead strategic relationships with critical suppliers providing secure and cost-effective sources for relevant commodities.Establish and maintain business relationships with relevant internal stakeholders, proactively engage with internal customers to understand their plans and future needs as well as manage proactive reporting.Consistently provide feedback to upper management regarding status of projects, activities and/or initiatives.Establish self as expert on category subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories or techniques.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies for multiple categories. Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and align strategies accordingly. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain a high level of service. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to achieve savings targets. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance metrics. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve procurement processes.
Experiences:
Bachelors degree or better in Supply Chain, Finance, or other Business Discipline, with proven track record of academic success5-7 Years in Procurement and Supply ChainExperience in multiple categories (Marketing, Facilities, IT , M&E)
