Senior Software Engineer Frontend / React UrbanPiper is the leading SaaS platform in the restaurant industry. Weʼre helping the smallest of restaurants to the largest chains across the world to grow their in-store and online commerce. Right from automating all their workflows across online delivery platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, Deliveroo, UberEats—to building and deploying self-branded websites and apps, right to managing their walk-in customers and dine-in experiences, UrbanPiper is the preferred choice for over 20k+ restaurants. Thatʼs a first and only (until now) event for any startup in the food and beverage industry. Your role: As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work on our React web applications to build usable, performant, and beautiful user interfaces. We are looking for someone who is experienced with React and loves to build high quality user experiences. They will work closely with the engineering, product, and design teams to build user experiences that delight our users. If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you. You will: ● Write high quality, maintainable and clean code. ● Take ownership of the correctness of your work both in terms of functional and usability. ● Apply the best practices of software development when it comes to SCM, managing issues and most importantly, documenting your work. ● Keep up to date with industry best practices and new developments, and advocate for their adoption whenever applicable. ● Work with the support team to triage and resolve issues with/without the assistance of other team members. ● Identify performance issues by effectively using Dev Tools. UrbanPiper Technology Private Limited ● Be able to guide junior engineers on best practices and provide clear guidance and feedback during technical design discussions and code reviews. We are looking for someone who has/is: ● 3 years of experience in building web applications with the main focus on React. ● Proficient in Javascript and React, including in-depth understanding of the language, framework and performance aspects. ● Excellent knowledge of modern CSS and familiarity with pre-processing tools like LESS and SASS. ● Experience integrating complex APIs. ● Familiarity with best practices on the web in terms of technology and UI/UX. ● Theability to communicate clearly in a verbal and written manner. Good to have: ● Prior experience in a high growth startup. ● Familiarity with React Native. ● Familiar with design tools like Figma and a good understanding of design Show more Show less
