Senior Software Engineer

The Team & Product You will be joining the Security Software Engineering team. We are a dedicated R&D unit responsible for building the proprietary technology stack used by our Security Operations Center (SOC). While the SOC analysts focus on monitoring and response, our team focuses on code, architecture, and system performance. We build the "engine" they rely on—developing the custom backend services for our internal EDR, SIEM, and SOAR capabilities from the ground up.

About The Role: We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer focused on backend development, distributed systems, and data pipeline architecture. You will join a team at the intersection of Large-Scale Systems, Big Data, and Security. We are looking for a senior engineer who brings deep technical expertise in building production-grade software to help us evolve our platform. You will own the design and implementation of critical services, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and maintainable.

Responsibilities:

• Core Feature Development: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services (Go/Rust/C++) that power our custom security tools.
• System Architecture: Lead the design of distributed systems capable of handling high-throughput telemetry with low latency. You will write design documents and collaborate on architectural decisions.
• Scale & Optimization: Engineer data ingestion pipelines and storage solutions that can scale eUiciently as our data volume grows.
• Engineering Excellence: Contribute to a culture of high quality by conducting constructive code reviews, writing comprehensive tests, and improving our CI/CD processes.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with security analysts to translate complex detection logic into eUicient, scalable software solutions.

Eligibility Software Engineering

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in backend software development. Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in a modern systems language (e.g., Golang, Rust, C++, or Java) and familiarity with Python.
• Distributed Systems: A solid understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and the challenges of distributed data consistency.
• Data Fluency: Experience working with message queues (e.g., Kafka) and understanding database design trade-oUs (SQL vs. NoSQL/Search).
• Algorithmic Problem Solving: Ability to apply appropriate data structures and algorithms to solve performance and scalability challenges.
• Ownership: An independent self-starter who enjoys taking a feature from concept to production.

Desired Eligibility: Experience contributing to open-source infrastructure projects. Familiarity with Cloud Native technologies (Kubernetes, gRPC). Interest in internal security systems (EDR, log forwarding, threat detection).

Travel: As and when required, across the country for project execution and monitoring, as well as for coordination with geographically distributed teams.
