Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop robust, scalable, and defect-free code for roadmap requirements, client customizations, and software integrations across our notusCSDB and HelpStudio Suite products.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and devise effective resolution plans.
- Partner with the Product Manager to translate roadmap features into well-defined user stories, providing technical insights, and identifying potential risks.
- Design and implement new features and functionality for our S1000D documentation and help authoring products.
- Continuously refine and adapt the technological approach, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our development processes.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance our products and development practices.
- Work closely with QA and Operations teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Analyze code quality, conduct risk assessments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software.
Experience And Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience developing desktop applications with WPF using C# and the .NET framework and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Proficiency in .NET, WPF, PRISM, asynchronous programming, and unit testing.
- Experience with XML-related technologies, including XQuery and XPath.
- A solid understanding of UX principles and experience contributing to design discussions.
- Broad experience with multiple programming languages.
- In-depth knowledge of XML in a publishing environment, utilizing C# XML objects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing high-quality, maintainable, and well-designed software, with a strong understanding of OOA/OOD/OOP and SOLID principles.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Proven experience working within Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- The ability to work independently, with a keen focus on problem-solving and the identification of systemic issues that can lead to process optimization.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with XML development, including XSD and XSLT (specifically DTD, XSDs, and XSLTs).
- Familiarity with web service definition formats such as WSDL and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience working with stakeholders and business analysts to gather and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams of various sizes across the organization.
- Exposure to the S1000D specification and/or Aerospace and Defence industry is highly desirable.
Work Hours & Location:
Full-time, on-site position with hours of operation from Monday to Friday, at our Chennai office in India.
