Role: State/Regional Sales Head – AgriTech / Farm Machinery

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead B2C and B2B sales efforts in Maharashtra. The role involves building strong farmer connect, dealer networks, and institutional/government partnerships to drive adoption of next-generation agricultural machinery and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

A. Drive B2C Sales

  • Engage with farmers, cooperatives, and community stakeholders to generate qualified leads.
  • Plan and execute BTL activities such as roadshows, demos, and farmer outreach programs.
  • Drive lead generation via telecalling, on-ground activities, and product demonstrations.

B. Build & Manage B2B Dealer Network

  • Identify and onboard potential dealers/entrepreneurs through market research and outreach.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to educate dealers about products, ROI, and benefits.
  • Negotiate dealer agreements and manage end-to-end onboarding.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring dealer success through training, spare parts support, and technology enablement.
  • Support dealer-led demand generation via events, demos, and local campaigns.

C. Government, Institutional & Financing Partnerships

  • Leverage government schemes, financing options, and institutional channels to scale adoption.
  • Build strong partnerships with farmer groups and government agencies for large-scale sales.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field.

Experience

  • 6–10 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or dealer management in the agricultural industry (farm machinery, tractors, agri-tech, agri drones, etc.), preferably in Maharashtra.

Skillsets

  • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Suite.
  • Languages: Marathi (mandatory), English (basic).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of agricultural machinery and technology.

Mindset & Background

  • Passion for agriculture and rural development.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Farmer family background (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the state.
