Job Role: Senior Manager – Sales

Location: Pune (with extensive travel across Maharashtra)
Workplace Type: Full-time | Onsite | Field-based role

About the Role

We are a pioneering organization in the agricultural machinery sector, focused on bringing next-generation solutions to farmers. Our mission is to reimagine farming through innovation, performance, and sustainability. This role is designed for a sales leader who can drive adoption of modern Agri-machinery among farmers while building strong dealer networks and institutional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive B2C Sales

  • Engage directly with farmers, cooperatives, and local stakeholders to generate leads.
  • Plan and execute BTL activities such as roadshows, demonstrations, events, and community outreach.
  • Drive lead generation through multiple channels including telecalling, field visits, and live demos.

2. Build & Manage B2B Dealer Network

  • Dealer Identification: Conduct market research and leverage networks to identify potential dealers and entrepreneurs.
  • Dealer Onboarding: Lead presentations, negotiate dealership agreements, and explain ROI, pricing, and product benefits.
  • Dealer Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for dealers, offering support on spares, training, and technology.
  • Demand Generation: Collaborate with dealers to execute outreach programs and farmer engagement events.

3. Institutional & Government Partnerships

  • Work with government schemes, institutional buyers, and financing agencies to support large-scale adoption among farmer groups.
  • Leverage subsidies and financial solutions to make products accessible and affordable.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, Marketing, or related fields.

Experience

  • 6–10 years of proven experience as State Head / Regional Head in sales, business development, or dealer management.
  • Must have worked in the agricultural industry (farm machinery, tractors, agritech startups, drones, irrigation, etc.) with exposure to Maharashtra markets.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite.
  • Languages: Marathi (mandatory), English (basic).

Background & Mindset

  • Passion for agriculture and proven ability in building strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural machinery/technology with ability to communicate benefits to farmers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup setup with ability to work independently.
  • Farmer family background preferred (not mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Maharashtra.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
