Role Overview:
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth for the organization. The job holder will be overseeing the sales process, setting sales targets, and ensuring the team achieves or exceeds them. The Senior Sales Manager plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and maximizing sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. Set sales targets for the sales team and ensure they are aligned with overall company objectives. Monitor sales performance, track progress, and provide regular reports to senior management. Identify areas for improvement and implement sales process enhancements to optimize sales efficiency. Coach and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets. Manage and develop relationships with key accounts to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. Understand client needs and provide tailored logistics solutions to meet their requirements. Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, identifying growth opportunities and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders and outstanding service delivery. Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets, expand customer base, and increase market share. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities. Analyze sales data, market insights, and customer feedback to drive informed decision-making. Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns and promotional activities. Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting performance goals and providing ongoing feedback. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team. Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews. Identify training and development needs and provide coaching and mentoring to enhance sales skills and capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring customer satisfaction. Identify customer needs and propose appropriate logistics solutions to meet their requirements. Address customer concerns and resolve any issues or challenges in a timely and effective manner. Stay updated on customer industry trends and changes to proactively identify opportunities for business growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus. 10+ years of experience in sales management roles, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of the Product s services, industry trends, and market dynamics. Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Additional languages may be advantageous. Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
