Role Description

The Senior Retail Sales Officer / Team Leader is responsible for driving store sales performance while delivering premium customer experiences in a luxury jewelry retail environment. The role involves leading and mentoring the sales team, managing high-value customer interactions, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strict control over inventory, billing, and store presentation. This position serves as a bridge between frontline sales staff and store management.


Qualifications


1. Sales & Revenue Performance

  • Achieve and exceed assigned individual and store sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Increase average ticket size through effective upselling, cross-selling, and add-on sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat and high-value customers to drive loyalty and referrals.

2. Customer Experience Excellence

  • Deliver a consistent luxury retail experience aligned with brand standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on jewellery selection, certifications, pricing, and after-sales policies.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and effective handling of customer concerns or escalations.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of the sales team.
  • Conduct daily briefings, product training, and on-the-job coaching sessions.
  • Support team members in meeting individual KPIs and improving conversion ratios.

4. Store Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate billing, documentation, and POS transactions with zero discrepancies.
  • Maintain strict adherence to SOPs related to inventory handling, security, and audits.
  • Coordinate with store management for stock movement, replenishment, and reporting.

5. Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation

  • Maintain premium store presentation and visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure safe, organized display and proper care of high-value jewellery items.
  • Support exhibitions, festive promotions, and special sales events.

6. Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Track and report daily sales performance, footfall, and conversion metrics.
  • Identify sales opportunities, customer trends, and operational gaps.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
