Senior Research Analyst

Role overview:

The analyst will support the maintenance and accuracy of a real estate securitization (CMBS / CRE) database by reviewing transaction documents and extracting key deal attributes. The role requires a hands-on professional who can interpret complex real estate financing documents such as term sheets, offering circulars, and investor reports, ensuring that all data is accurately reflected in the database and aligns with deal economics.

Key responsibilities:

• Review term sheets, offering circulars, and deal summaries for CMBS / CRE transactions to extract key terms (loan amount, collateral details, structure, ratings, pricing, covenants, etc.).
• Populate and update data fields in the client’s real estate securitization database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Validate data by cross-referencing multiple documents and identifying inconsistencies.
• Maintain a data audit trail, capturing document sources and update logs.
• Collaborate with the project lead to refine data models and input templates.
• Ensure adherence to quality control and validation procedures.
• Track and incorporate updates to deal documentation as required.

Skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in real estate structured finance, CMBS, CRE CLO, or related credit products.
• Hands-on experience with term sheets, offering circulars, and investor reports.
• Proficient in Excel and database systems (SQL, Power BI, or similar tools preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred Experience:
• Prior experience working on real estate securitization data operations or ratings/risk analytics.
• Familiarity with Intex, Trepp, or Bloomberg CMBS datasets.
• Exposure to offshore/onshore delivery models and global investment teams.
