enior Quality Engineer


Roles & Responsibilities

Assist the Quality team in managing day-to-day quality activities.

Supervise and guide Quality Engineers inspections, testing, and documentation.

Allocate inspection and testing tasks to the team and ensure timely completion.

Quality Control – In-process & Final

Ensure in-process inspections are conducted during panel fabrication, wiring, assembly, and internal testing.

Oversee the final inspection of control panels before dispatching to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Verify component installation, panel layout, wiring quality, torquing, and labeling according to standards.

Material & Component Quality

Conduct and monitor incoming material inspections as per BOM, datasheets, and quality requirements.

Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for rejection or replacement of non-conforming materials.

Testing & FAT Support

Support the Testing Department during routine testing, functional testing, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained during FAT and customer inspections.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare IQC, IPQC, and Final QC reports.

Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), maintain CAPA records, and ensure timely closure.

Maintain panel quality checklists, test reports, and quality logs.

Cross-functional Coordination

Collaborate with Production, Testing, Design, and Purchase teams to resolve quality issues.

Participate in internal review meetings and provide quality-related inputs.

Compliance, Process Improvement & Standards

Ensure adherence to SOPs, drawings, and internal quality standards.

Recommend improvements in wiring quality, assembly processes, and testing workflows.

Support the implementation of 5S and safety practices within the Quality & Testing areas.

Customer Handling

Assist during customer visits and inspections.

Ensure panels are inspection-ready, and all documentation is complete.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational Qualification: BE Electrical Engineering or Relevant Experience
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in panel quality assurance, inspection, and testing
  • Strong knowledge of panel quality, wiring standards, and testing procedures.
  • Experience in in-process and final inspections, FAT, and documentation.
  • Excellent team coordination and supervisory skills.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Knowledge of 5S, SOPs, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions effectively.
