Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

As a Senior QA Analyst at our leading independent academic publishing company, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of our business systems. You will play a crucial role in meticulously testing and analyzing our software applications to maintain the highest standards of performance and functionality. Your key accountabilities will include testing complex modules, features, and bug fixes with a thorough understanding of the system and its integrations. You will focus on requirements, delve into advanced intricacies, and collaborate effectively with peers to ensure the team's work has a positive impact within the department. Your expertise in manual software testing techniques, defect tracking, test case creation, and execution will facilitate efficient issue resolution. Proficiency in Agile methodologies is essential, as you will actively participate in Agile ceremonies, raise risks, and provide feedback during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Additionally, you will need a thorough understanding of the industry or domain, including knowledge of project modules and system integrations. Your role will also involve mentoring team members, resolving their queries related to projects or integrations, executing automation scripts, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process improvements. Basic knowledge of performance testing, API testing, and database testing will be beneficial, and you will engage in the hiring process by conducting interviews and providing feedback. To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. You will work closely with the manager to articulate needs and goals, facilitate problem-solving, and manage timelines effectively. Recognizing and positively reinforcing team contributions, considering others" schedules and priorities, and engaging in team meetings will be key aspects of your responsibilities.
