Senior QC Engineer – Level II (U-Stamp / ASME Certified Experience)

Profile Summary:
Highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Control Engineer with extensive experience in fabrication, inspection, and quality assurance activities for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems. Proficient in implementing ASME Code requirements, especially U-Stamp (Section VIII Div.1), and ensuring full compliance throughout fabrication, documentation, and final certification stages. Strong expertise in NDT Level II methods and well-versed in QA/QC documentation, welding inspection, and coordination with Authorized Inspectors (AI) for code stamping.

Key Skills & CompetenciesASME / U-Stamp Expertise

• Thorough understanding of ASME Section VIII Div.1 for pressure vessel design, fabrication, and inspection.
• Hands-on experience in managing U-Stamp vessel manufacturing, including material verification, stage-wise inspections, WPS/PQR/WPQ review, and final documentation.
• Coordination with Authorized Inspectors (AI) for hold points, joint review, hydrotest witnessing, and stamping activities.
• Well-versed in Code Data Books, Form U-1, U-1A, U-2, and compliance records.

NDT Level II Certification

• Certified Level II in RT / UT / MT / PT / VT (as applicable).
• Skilled in interpreting NDT results and recommending corrective actions.
• Knowledge of NDT procedures as per ASME, ASTM, and company written practices.

Welding & Fabrication Inspection

• Expertise in welding consumables control, weld joint fit-up inspection, WPS/PQR validation, welder performance monitoring, and weld visual inspection.
• Familiar with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW processes and stainless-steel fabrication.
• Inspection of rolling, forming, nozzle installation, shell welding, dish end fabrication, and heat-treatment (PWHT) operations.

Quality Management

• Preparation & review of ITP, QAP, WPS, PQR, Material Traceability Records, MTC verification, etc.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASME Codes, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
• Control of NCRs, CARs, and quality deviations with proper root cause analysis.

Documentation & Reporting

• Skilled in preparing complete U-Stamp Documentation Package / Manufacturer’s Data Book.
• Daily QC reports, inspection records, NDT reports, hydrotest reports, calibration records, and final dossier compilation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 documentation and internal audit support.

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• ASNT Level II (RT/UT/MT/PT)
• Training/Exposure to ASME U-Stamp Manufacturing
• ISO 9001:2015 QMS Awareness / Auditor (Optional)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
